Procedures at the Facilities
Ensure that customers have knowledge of and access to this Internal Protocol regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.

Hygiene Plan
Washing and disinfection, in accordance with this internal protocol, of surfaces where employees and customers circulate, ensuring the control and prevention of infections and antimicrobial resistance.
Use of wet cleaning, to the detriment of dry cleaning and the use of a vacuum cleaner.
The bucket and floor mop are usually reusable, which is why cleaning and disinfection of these equipment must be ensured at the end of each use.
For the floor, washing is carried out with hot water and common detergent, followed by disinfection with a bleach solution diluted in water after check-out.
In sanitary facilities, washing is preferably carried out with a product that contains detergent and disinfectant because it is easier to apply and disinfect.
Specific care for changing bed linen and cleaning the rooms, favoring two spaced intervention times (airing and cleaning) and with adequate protection according to the internal protocol.
Removing made-up bed linen and towels without shaking them, rolling them from the outside to the inside, without touching the body and transporting them directly to the washing machine.
Separate machine and high temperature washing of bed linen/towels (approximately 60ºC).
Washing and disinfection of pillow covers and mattress covers whenever the client changes.
Cleaning of TV controls.
Individual protection plan
Avoid physical contact (handshakes, hugs…);
Use alcohol gel or wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
Maintain social distancing: 2 meters for everyone, 4 meters for sick or suspects;
Avoid gatherings of people;
Anyone showing symptoms of Coronavirus infection (fever, cough or difficulty breathing) is considered a suspected case;
The use of a mask is strongly recommended.
Protection plan for guests
At the entrance of the accommodation there are containers with alcohol gel. In the kitchen there are cleaning products and disinfectants;
There is liquid soap and disposable paper towels in the bathrooms;
The contact surfaces of common areas are washed and disinfected with a product that contains detergent and disinfectant;
Correct ventilation of the house is ensured after each check-out. We advise guests to air daily all areas of the accommodation;
A place is defined for the isolation of suspected or confirmed cases: Ventilated room, with access to a bathroom and adequately equipped.
What to do in the presence of a person who is sick or suspected of being sick with COVID-19
The cleaning team must wait for the result of the laboratory diagnosis before starting any procedure for removing clothes and cleaning;
Immediate identification and tracking of all people and places used by the suspect;
Cleaning and disinfection of all suspected contact areas.
Measures for the patient or suspected to be sick
The patient will not leave the accommodation, but must remain in his/her room and call the owners (+351910042122) or (+351914161585) so that they can contact the Azores Health Line (808 24 60 24), which will assess the case and contact the Local Health Authority;
Under no circumstances should you go to the health center, a private office or the hospital emergency room;
Wait for instructions from health professionals;
Put on a surgical mask.
